In bowling action on Tuesday night, The JV boys were ahead of Fowlerville 11-9 after two regular games but were outscored in the Baker games and lost the match 19-11.  With only three bowlers, the Girls Varsity bowlers scored a point with Lexi Balasa beating her opponent the first game and Sydney Eidelbes had a personal high score of 121. Not bad considering Fowlerville has nine girls on their team. We are still looking for more girls to bowl on our team. Varsity Boys Bowling move to 1-0 beating Fowlerville 20-10. While they lost the two Baker games, they outscored their opponents in the two regular games by a hundred pins each game.

Last year the varsity bowling team was skunked by a strong Mason team 30-0. While we didn't defeat Mason, the score was 24-6 having won two individual games and a Baker game. The team is confident they'll do better when they square off against Mason in February. The varsity girls bowling team only scored one point again with only three bowlers. Lily Bauerle (Buy-er-lee) rolled her highest game ever, a 122 in a head-to-head competition beating the Mason bowler who scored a 118. And this time the JV boys bowling team won 22-8. High scorers were Tomas Rampe with a 175 and Ren Matias with a 153. Our bowling Cougars have their next home match on Tuesday, December 14 against Eaton Rapids.

The night of September 14 at Lansing Catholic High School was very special for the boys soccer team and their families, as they celebrated their senior night against Ionia.  This senior class has grown over the four years they have played as they have won three league championships and a district championship during their time here at Lansing Catholic. “I remember sophomore year all my friends having their senior night and it didn’t really hit me until I realized it was my turn,” said senior Wes Franco. The game was a success that night, as the team beat Ionia 4-2. But for many members of the team, true success comes later in the season at the match against Williamston. “Our goal is to beat Willy and kind of get revenge on them for beating us the past couple of years, and winning a district title,” Franco said. As the season goes along the seniors and their families will forever cherish the memories that were created by playing boys var

Updated on 06/10/2022 |Ava Foster, Class of 2022

To start off the month of October the Lansing Catholic Boys Football team defeated their rivals, the Portland Raiders. The game was neck and neck in the fourth quarter and came down to a last-second field goal by senior Jonah Richards.  “It wasn't as hard of a kick as people may believe from what they saw,” The star kicker Jonah Richards said. To him “It wasn't that [he] was worried about making the kick, but more about doing it under the stress of the game.” Quarterback Joey Baker had 345 passing yards, and a rushing touchdown helping to lead the cougars to victory. “The field goal was by far the best play of the game,” Baker said, even considering his contributions. The play stood out to Joey because “All of us, especially Jonah, were under a lot of pressure and it went to show that we can win during big games.” “I didn't get to see the whole kick so I had no idea if it went in or not but it felt good

With the new Ingham County Health Department's guidelines (similar to the EO) and the MHSAA's guidance to reopening, LCHS is allowed 630 spectators for Friday's game. LCHS must split the tickets 50-50 with Charlotte so that leaves 315 tickets remaining. Athletes, coaches, and administrators do not count against the fixed stadium capacity numbers. However they will be allowed 2 tickets per participant (similar to previous games)  Band is now allowed to perform at home events and will have the same 2 tickets per participant that football and cheer parents are allowed. Band parents, please communicate with Jan Tietsort about your tickets. By our estimation, this will leave LCHS with 77 remaining tickets. These remaining tickets will be sold to seniors tomorrow (10/7) at lunch time. If additional tickets remain they will be sold Thursday (10/8) during lunch. The ticket will cost LCHS students 2 dollars. We are doing this
