We took six players out to Willow Wood GC to compete in the final league tournament of the season.  Today's round was 18 holes of golf on a pretty challenging course.  Your Lady Cougars came ready to play some golf..!!

We finished in 1st Place today, 35 strokes ahead of 2nd Place Portland and 36 strokes ahead of 3rd Place Charlotte.  Our team score of 392 was the lowest team score of the year.  A remarkable team score.  Coach Mary and I could not have been any more proud of those six young ladies.  They battled the entire time today and did their best to remain focused for the entire round.  Hannah, Sailor, Mallory, Audrey, and Maya shot their best 18 hole round of golf of the season today..!!  Speaking of Sailor, she was Medalist today out of the 24 golfers, carding a 92 today..!!

After the round of golf, the coaches added up all of the points that the four teams earned throughout the season and your Lady Cougars were crowned outright Champions of the CAAC-White Conference this year..!!!  Portland and Charlotte tied for 2nd Place. 

They will enjoy the day off from practice tomorrow and we will get back to the golf course on Monday, when we travel down to Calderone GC in Grass Lake to play our Regional practice round.   The way those ladies played today, heck they can turn around and play another 18 holes tomorrow, they were that fired up..!!  But, we will wait until Monday...

Congratulations to Hannah, Sailor, Noelle, Mallory, Audrey, and Maya, on a job well done today!!  I also want to congratulate the other 13 members on our golf team for all you have done over the season to get these young ladies ready for today's competition. They would not be where they are today without each of you pushing them to be their very best throughout the season..!!   Nice job team..!!
