Swimming Recap vs Ionia

The WLC Varsity Swimming and Diving Team overcame Ionia with a 1 point victory. The Warrior-Cougars scored 90 points to the Bulldogs’ 89. Sophomore Joy El Jbeily took first in the 50 freestyle with a lifetime best of 26.87 and in the 100 freestyle with a lifetime best of 59.81. Divers Lizzie Hamel and Ava Foster each had season best scores in diving. Senior Laney Nestor took first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:22.01, touching out second place by .51 seconds.
The Warrior Cougars compete next against the Mason Bulldogs at home on Tuesday, October 9th at 6:00 pm.
